This Level I Certified Infrared Thermographer® is an intensive five-day training program designed to equip professionals with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to perform qualitative thermal imaging and analysis. This course provides a solid foundation in infrared theory, heat transfer concepts, equipment operation, image interpretation, and report generation to support predictive and preventive maintenance (P/PM), condition monitoring, quality assurance, and forensic investigations.
Through a combination of theory, demonstrations, and real-world case studies, participants will learn how to identify, analyze, and document thermal patterns related to electrical, mechanical, and building systems, as well as how to implement effective thermography programs in their organizations.
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
Understand infrared theory and heat transfer principles relevant to thermal imaging.
Operate and configure infrared cameras for a wide range of industrial and building applications.
Interpret thermal images to identify and diagnose issues caused by improper design, workmanship, or material failure.
Apply infrared thermography techniques to electrical systems, mechanical equipment, refractory systems, steam lines, and building envelopes.
Comply with relevant standards and procedures for infrared inspections and reporting.
Establish and manage a thermography program, including economic justification and data management.
Generate accurate and professional reports using industry-standard reporting tools (e.g., TI Reporter™).
This course is ideal for professionals involved in inspection, maintenance, and reliability functions across industries such as power generation, petrochemicals, manufacturing, facilities management, and construction.
Recommended participants include:
Maintenance & Reliability Engineers
Condition Monitoring Technicians
Electrical & Mechanical Inspectors
Building and Facility Engineers
Quality Assurance & Safety Professionals
Energy Auditors
Predictive Maintenance Program Managers
Anyone seeking to begin or enhance their career in Infrared Thermography
BK Management Team believe that learning is not only about acquiring technical skills, it is also about learning behaviors & Competencies that are desirable for work in plant operation & maintenance critical dimensions. Our holistic teaching develops our delegates' personal effectiveness to function both as an individual and as a team player. The course delivery & modes of instruction will incorporate theory, practical skills and Q&A sessions. To enhance learning outcomes, theory sessions will comprise classroom-based lecture that will intersperse with interactive discussions, scenario-based, case-study, group exercises, video clips, power point slides, learners' Guide and the application of various tools which will be provided to help in the delegates and participants of the learning’s objectives. With successful implementation of the learnt skills, they are bound to enhance Individual & Organizational growth. For online / Interactive Virtual sessions, Delegate should have a stable & good Internet connection on his laptop.
