The IFMA Occupancy & Human Factors training is designed to equip facility professionals with the knowledge to optimize productivity, foster employee well-being, and enhance organizational performance by creating a safe, healthy, and productive workplace experience. 

Training Objective

The main goal is for facility managers to gain the expertise needed to support occupant performance, provide a quality workplace, and implement practices that align with organizational goals. The course highlights the connection between the built environment and the people within it, as employee costs are a major expense during a facility's lifespan.

• Explain Occupancy and Human Factors from a facility manager's perspective.

• Identify relevant best practices.

• Assess and manage occupant services to ensure safety and security.

• Understand the occupancy health and safety management system outlined in ISO 45001.

• Establish processes to continuously measure and improve the workplace experience and performance
