Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Facilitator Advance Course

Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Facilitator Advance Course
Summary

RCM Advanced Concepts are designed to give you more in-depth knowledge of topics that are presented in the RCM Foundations, and hands-on facilitating RCM workshop and Task Exercise, this workshop should get commitment from delegates to complete homework exercise and prepare for task exercise well ahead.

Through this RCM Facilitator Advance Course, attendees will develop outstanding skills that will make them a significant part of any Reliability program.

Attendees will not only gain a deep understanding of how to apply and facilitate RCM principles in the real world. They will also learn how to lead a team of equipment experts so consensus can be reached for all kinds of issues.

Attendees will develop the invaluable talent of managing varying personalities so RCM goals can be achieved. They will gain this marketable talent that translates to any situation - even their life outside of work.

Objective

Advanced Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Facilitator Training builds upon the foundational knowledge and skills gained from basic RCM Facilitator Training. The advanced training aims to equip individuals with advanced RCM techniques and strategies to develop maintenance programs that are optimized for safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

The following are some objectives for Advanced RCM Facilitator Training:

  • Learn advanced RCM analysis techniques.
  • Understand the impact of technology on RCM.
  • Develop advanced criticality analysis skills.
  • Learn how to optimize maintenance strategies.
  • Develop facilitation skills.
  • Understand how to sustain RCM initiatives.

An Advanced RCM Facilitator Training equips individuals with the advanced knowledge and skills required to develop and implement comprehensive and effective maintenance programs using RCM principles.

Who should attend

This highly practical and interactive course has been specifically designed for Attendees, who have already attended RCM Facilitator Foundation Course.

Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Facilitator Advance Course
  • This Advanced concept will explain how to determine if a Function should be included in an RCM analysis – or if it should be documented as a Failure Mode instead!
  • What Failure Modes to Include in an RCM Analysis: set forth the four questions to ask to determine if a Failure Mode should be included in an RCM analysis or not.
  • This Advanced Concept module explains how to Reverse-Engineer current maintenance tasks into Failure Modes.
  • Root cause analysis (RCA) is no one-time event or issuing a report to explain and define the undesired event root cause(s), it is a business process that moves from one stage to another and needs to follow an event life cycle. What is the RCA life cycle and what is the role of the RCM facilitator in such event.
  • One of the quick RCA’s quickest and simple techniques is The Five Whys technique which is often used in Root Cause Analysis and in Six Sigma.
  • This exercise tests RCM Facilitator skill at assessing Failure Consequences.
  • This exercise tests your understanding of the different kinds of Maintenance Tasks and Default Strategies.
  • Delegates will work in subgroups to architecting task solutions and present their outcomes with group discussion and coaching of course trainers, at the end presenting the optimum task exercise solution.
  • On-Condition Maintenance, we learned about the P-F Curve, Potential Failure Conditions, and Failure in the Context of the P-F Interval.
  • This Advanced Concept describes how to assign variables on the P-F curve when analyzing gauges.
  • The RCM Decision Diagram has a hierarchy when it comes to Proactive Maintenance tasks and Default Strategies.
  • This Advanced Concepts explain the reasoning behind the hierarchy.
  • RCM Validation Package: RCM Analysis Validation process What is Included
  • This Advanced Concept outlines and describes the sections that make up the RCM Validation Package/Report.
  • What Makes Working Groups Effective Including Role of the Facilitator, we will learn what are RCM Facilitator skills required to properly lead an RCM Working Group.
  • This Advanced Concept outlines the position description and the requirements for an RCM Facilitator.
  • Implement CBM Correctly: Avoid “Shiny Object Syndrome”
  • Purchasing sophisticated technology is NOT the first step when implementing Condition Based Maintenance. In this Advanced Concept, we discuss how to avoid “Shiny
  • Object Syndrome” by outlining how to implement sophisticated CBM technology in a logical manner, so it positively serves your organization
  • This Advanced Concept introduces the concept of Failure Finding and includes an example using one of the Failure Finding equations.
  • A Competency Assessment will be conducted on the last day of the course. The assessment duration will be 02 hrs.

  • BK Management Team believe that learning is not only about acquiring technical skills, it is also about learning behaviors & Competencies that are desirable for work in plant operation & maintenance critical dimensions. Our holistic teaching develops our delegates' personal effectiveness to function both as an individual and as a team player. The course delivery & modes of instruction will incorporate theory , practical skills and Q&A sessions.
  • To enhance learning outcomes, theory sessions will comprise classroom based lecture that will intersperse with interactive discussions, scenario-based, case-study, group exercises, video clips, power point slides, learners' Guide and the application of various tools which will be provided to help in the delegates and participants of the learning’s objectives. With successful implementation of the learnt skills they are bound to enhance Individual & Organizational growth.
  • For online / Interactive Virtual sessions, Delegate should have a stable & good Internet connection on his Laptop.

After attending this course, attendees will be provided two different certificates:

  • Certificate of Attendance: At the end of the course, a BK Certificate of Attendance will be issued to attendees after completing 80% of attendance.
  • Certificate of Competency: A certificate of Competency will be issued to the attendees after passing the assessment with 80% marks.
